BIOGRAPHIE

She attended Boğaziçi University, studying Philosopy, and was part of the university's long running prestigious Drama Club called Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Oyuncuları (Boğaziçi University Players) where she acted and took various roles running the club. Upon graduation, she has acted in short films, feature films and commercials. She has won Best Actress form Short To the Point and Diyarbakır Short Film Festival with her performance in School Bus as teacher Nebahat. She has shot her first short film, The Midwife in 2018 inspired by her mother’s real-life experience as a midwife in rural Anatolia which won Special Mention at Alpavirama Festival. Her second short film Maşallah! looks into modern day of survival for women walking down the street without being harassed or attacked.
