BIOGRAPHIE

NAZGOL KASHANI is an Iranian-American filmmaker based between Tehran and Berlin. She was born in Tehran in 1986. After finishing her studies in Cultural Policy in Paris, she worked as a curator in galleries in Tehran, Paris and London. She also worked as a producer for BBC Farsi. After producing short episodes for the BBC and growing interest in production process, she decided to focus more on filmmaking as a career. Therefore, she obtained her MFA in Filmmaking at Ohio University. After graduating, she moved to Berlin in order to make co-productions between the Middle- East and Europe. She has made various documentaries and narrative shorts. Her previous works have been shown in festivals such as Vision Du Reel and Athens International Film and Video Festival. Her latest films have been co- produced by Germany, Iran and the US.
