BIOGRAPHIE
Dylan Pailes-Friedman is a writer and director born and based in NYC. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pratt Institute in 2017 with a BFA in Film/Video. In 2018 his short film, co-directed with Dakota Pailes-Friedman, DO MORE OF WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY, premiered at the Maryland Film Festival. It was featured on season two of the Eyeslicer TV show curated by Jane Schoenbrun and Vanessa McDonnell, and went on to screen at International Film Festival Rotterdam. His second film, I’LL BE HERE FOR A WHILE, premiered in Ireland at the Cork International Film Festival, and continued to play domestically and internationally at Maryland Film Festival, New Hampshire Film Festival, FilmFort, and Dublin International Film Festival. His shorts have premiered online at publications such as Omeleto, NoBudge, The Eyeslicer, and Boooooom. In 2022 he was a selected participant in the PlayLab Film Creators Lab hosted by director Apichatpong Weerasethakul in the Peruvian Amazon.
