BIOGRAPHIE

Maria Hespanhol estudió en la Escuela de Arte Soares dos Reis en Porto y completó su formación en la Escuela de Artes de la Universidad Católica de Porto. Antes de graduarse codirigió el cortometraje "Felizes para Sempre" que ganó una Mención de Honor en el Festival Odisea de las Imágenes de Porto Capital Europea de la Cultura 2001. En 2003 se trasladó a Barcelona y empezó a trabajar en publicidad. Desde 2013 vive en Lisboa desarrollando varios proyectos como los cortometrajes "Summerfest" y "Último Acto" ambos escritos y dirigidos por ella. En este momento terminó el cortometraje de animación stop motion "La Niña de los Ojos Grandes y el Niño de Piernas Largas" y está filmando un cortometraje documental sobre el artista y co-fundador de Marvilab Jean Michel Chartier. Biography: Maria Hespanhol studied at Soares dos Reis Art School, in Porto, and completed her training at the School of Arts at Catholic University of Porto. In 2003 moved to Barcelona and started working in advertising. Since 2013 she’s living in Lisbon, developing several projects such as the short films "Summerfest" and "Final Act" both written and directed by her. At the moment she finished the stop motion animated short film, entitled "The Wide Eyed Girl and the Long Legged Boy" based on her own original story and is filming a short documentary about the artist and co-founder of Marvilab Jean Michel Chartier.
