Francesco Garbo (Pordenone, 1989) is a filmmaker, founder of Katzbach Film, currently based in Marseille (France). After the BA in "Electronic Music" he starts taking the first steps into the videoart field and he got a MA with honour in "Audiovisual Composition". In these years he founded the collective SINAPTICA, focusing on interactive installations and performing arts. From 2015 till 2017 he was based in Berlin (Germany) where he worked as Post-Production Manager and Cinematographer at OVALmedia/Melànge and he founded the film production Katzbach Film with Pierluigi Muscolino. In 2017, after directing his first documentary "Ulicama", he moved to France to attend The Hive residency in Aix-en-Provence where he created the art installation "Interlude". In 2018 his first fictional short film as director "Stuck" got 5 festival selections worldwide. His films and art works have been shown in internationals events and festivals as Cannes Short Film Corner (France), CHP:DOX (Denmark), Diagonale (Austria), InShort Film Festival (Nigeria), Cefalù Film Festival, Bazzacinema International Film Festival, Mittelfest, AIMI CIM (Italy), First-Time Filmmaker (UK), Bar de Curtos (Argentina), Phonophon (Germany), Chia Shorts (Colombia) and Correspondence (France).
