Azadeh Moussavi is an Iranian filmmaker, trained at Tehran University of Art. She is the author and director of the documentary “From Iran, A Separation” (2013) about Asghar Farhadi and of the short film “Discharged” (2017). His feature-length documentary "Finding Farideh" was chosen in 2019 to represent Iran at the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Film category. The short "The Visit" is inspired by a real story that involved her father when she was a child and it was selected in many international film festivals like Festival du court métrage de Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs International ShortFest, AFI FEST. Her latest short is 48 Hours (2022).
