BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Born and raised in Malaysia, Tung Wei Ye graduated from the Taipei National University of the Arts with an MFA degree in Film Directing. His work is primarily inspired by the Southeast Asian diaspora experience and his observations of Taiwanese society, with a focus on telling stories about migrant and LGBTQ communities in Taiwan. His films “A Cohabitation” and “Misplaced” were selected by the Mini Film Festival in Malaysia. He is also the cinematographer of "Reprise”, a short film that was selected by the Busan International Film Festival.
