BIOGRAPHIE

Elena Wiener lives and works in Cologne and Freiburg, Germany. After she received a Bachelor's Degree in History of Arts and Culture Studies in Karlsruhe, she decided to study Film and Media at the University of Wuppertal. There she created her first films as a writer and director. Her work is primarily defined by the use of an unconventional approach, experimental design language, and reduced color palettes. Recently she works as an audiovisual media designer in the research group „heroes – heroizing - heroism“ at the University of Freiburg and works as a freelance filmmaker.
