BIOGRAPHIE

Ziyi Jin earned her MFA in Film Directing program at California Institute of the Arts. Having made several experimental and narrative shorts in L.A., Jin went to Mexico in 2019 to shoot a short film- White Horses, Silver Mine. By presenting fragments of daily life, she gives an insight into “unsolvable” human contradictions. Her films have been screened and selected to several international film festivals such as the Academy-Qualifying Guanajuato International Film Festival, TIQFF, etc. In 2023, she completed a semi-autobiographical fantasy short film in China, which was shortlisted in the script stage for the Golden Rooster Film Festival and the Beijing International Film Festival.
