Víctor S. Soler

BIOGRAPHIE

Víctor S. Soler (Alicante, 1993) began his journey in the audiovisual sector collaborating as script supervisor in various productions, from spots and corporate videos to short films such as "There are no planes in Rome" (“No hay aviones en Roma”, 2019) and feature films such as "The circle" (“El círculo”, currently in postproduction). This activity has given him the opportunity to work with professionals such as Diana Marzal (co-director of art in “El ciudadano Ilustre”, 2016) and Marsha Scarbrough (Clint Eastwood's assistant director in “Bird”, 1988). Víctor got behind the camera as a writer and director for the first time in his short film "Commitment" (2019). This first short film was selected by the XVI Alicante International Film Festival in its Alicante Cinema section, and by the PRISMA Independent Film Awards in Rome. After teaching at the BeMovie audiovisual school in Alicante throughout 2019, Víctor began preparing his short film “Off the Drove” (“Los descarriados”). In 2020, his short film “1st Shot” (“Plano 1”) was selected by the online festival #YoMeRuedoEnCasa (Atresmedia cine, DeAPlaneta, ESCAC, CineBase) along with eight other finalists and among a total of more than four hundred participants. Also, his short film “Tales from 84” (“Relatos del 84”) was selected, along with seventeen other finalists and among more than nine hundred participants, in the Notodofilmfest "Yincana de cine confinado" contest, by a jury headed by Javier Fesser.
