hile Feng was born in China in 1993. She embarked on a transformative artistic journey, pursuing studies in China, Netherlands, and Belgium, where she finished a double BA in Art History/Fine Art, and also MA in film. In 2020, Shile Feng made her experimental 16mm film installation, "The Resistance of Amnesia," which offered her initial exploration into the world of moving images. Later on, she became one of the initiators of DDREDFILMLAB, China's first analog film lab. It was during this time that she gradually developed her attention for cinema. In 2023, Shile Feng graduates from LUCA Arts School with her debut fiction short “PEIPEI”, which serves as her film master graduation project. As a cultural nomad herself, Shile Feng's work reflects her deep-rooted concern for the subject of human identity. Her films are intended to be the catalyst for introspection, inviting audiences to embark on a transformative journey that challenges societal norms and contemplates the rich tapestry of human diversity.
