BIOGRAPHIE

Born in 1991, Simon is a Swedish-Bolivian filmmaker. He studied at the Prague Film School in Czech republic and at Alma Screenwriting Academy in Sweden. 

Simon has directed work within both the fiction and documentary field, shooting in different places in Latin America and Europe. His 2015 short Birdwatcher was selected for Cannes Short Film Corner. His next short Haven premiered at Gothenburg Film Festival 2020 and is beginning its international festival circuit. His new hybrid short Obituary will have its world premiere later this year. 

In 2017, Simon began collaborating Swedish production company Laika Film, directing two feature documentaries: N.N - A Stolen Childhood and Horacio & the Pigeons. These are currently in development and have been pitched at several international festivals such as Lisbon Docs and Edinburgh. Simon is also writing a script for a feature film, Search Party, which is the third part of a thematic trilogy exploring identity and memory.
