Yasemin Demirci

BIOGRAPHIE

Yasemin Demirci (1992) is an Istanbul based filmmaker. She studied acting at Kadir Has University but never practiced to pursue her filmmaking career. She moved to Prague and studied directing & screenwriting at Prague Film School. After graduating in 2015, she got accepted to Kingston University of London to Film Studies where she graduated with an uppersecond class degree in 2019. Since 2015 she made several short films which were screened at a further 60 festivals worldwide including CameraImage, Tirana International Film Festival, Antalya Golden Orange Festival, Istanbul International Film Festival and Venice Film Week. At the moment, Yasemin is working on her latest short film ‘In His Fortress’ and first feature film project in Istanbul, Turkey.
