Charlie LaRose is a New York City based filmmaker with a diverse heritage and background in classical/contemporary ballet, and Argentine tango. Under her belt are years spent jumping back and forth from acting to costume design, to stunt acting, to writing, and now to writing/directing and producing. Charlie is an alumni of the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Dance Performance, as well as Philosophy. After retiring as a dancer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she moved back to Austin, Texas and began working in the costume department for several indie films and commercials. While working as a costume designer, Charlie also worked as a stunt actress and actress in several productions. From Austin to LA, then from LA to NYC, Charlie obtained the credentials that would earn her an invitation from the Costume Design Union 829, which she turned down in order to commit to acting/writing/directing. On her own, Charlie has been able to write, direct and act in three short films, and looks forward to her next project which will be her first self-produced feature film.
