[EN] Irene Baqué (Barcelona, 1990) is a director specializing in documentaries that explore social, identity-related, and resistance themes, with a focus on women and their stories. After a decade in London, she now lives in Madrid. Her work is characterized by an aesthetic and narrative approach that closely resembles fiction. Her latest documentary, "Carmen, no fear of freedom" (15L, 2023), won the Best Documentary Short Film award at the Medina del Campo Film Week and was selected by more than 30 international festivals, including Curtas Vila do Conde and L’Alternativa, receiving multiple accolades.
