BIOGRAPHIE

Raised in New York and Tokyo, Neo Sora is a filmmaker, artist, and translator living between the two cities. He wrote and directed THE CHICKEN (Locarno Film Festival 2020, New York Film Festival 2020), a short film adaptation of a story by Naoya Shiga, which was praised in publications such as Variety and Cahiers du Cinéma. Recently, Filmmaker Magazine named Neo one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film. An alumnus of the 2017 Berlinale Talents Tokyo and the 2022 Sundance Screenwriters and Directors Lab programs, Neo is in development for his debut feature as a writer-director, EARTHQUAKE.
