BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Fernando Saldivia Yáñez (b.1997) is a filmmaker based between Puerto Williams, Chile, and Chicago, USA. His practice focuses on using intimate observations to portray communities and traditions facing a context of climate change, industrialization, and neoliberal policies. His work has been shown at different festivals and spaces such as the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Santiago International Film Festival, the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, and the Gene Siskel Film Center. His latest feature film, Brief Space of a Time, received the Vox Populi award at the 62 Ann Arbor Film Festival.
