Sunyin Zhang

BIOGRAPHIE

Sunyin Zhang is a Chinese director, screenwriter and editor now residing in Los Angeles. She works in fiction, documentary and VR. Zhang often focus on gender diversity. Her first short film Qiushui was screened at many international film festivals including the 2019 LA International Short Film Festival (*OSCAR® Qualifying and BAFTA® Qualifying) ; Her Calarts thesis Wild Seed won the Alison Doerner Award for Women Pioneers in Filmmaking and was selected in CAA MOEBIUS Showcase 2021. In 2021, she signed to the Stars Collective program created by Stars Collective Film Entertainment Corporation, Inc. From 2020, she worked as an editor in DA Culture International INC. and edited many short animations that attracted over 1M+ views online. From 2016 to 2018, she worked as board of directors at BPE Film Studio in Beijing and produced multiple commercial productions that attracted over 10M+ views online. Sunyin Zhang got her MFA in Film Directing from California Institute of the Arts in 2020.
