Seidy Lopez is a Mexican-American actress and director. She is best known for her starring debut in the critically acclaimed film "Mi Vida Loca" and is starring in the #1 Netflix series, "Selena", as the late Tejana singer’s mother, Marcella Quintanilla. She has also appeared in the hit film "Selena", and in the Academy Award-winning film "Training Day". Some of her T.V credits include: "ER" directed by Quentin Tarantino, "NCIS: Los Angeles", "The Bridge", "Shameless", Showtime's "Resurrection Boulevard" and "Luminarias" and "The Elián González Story" for the Fox Family channel. Recently, she was also featured opposite Halle Barry in the film “Kings” as well as in the HBO short film, "Slipping Into Darkness". Although most of her experience has been on camera, she has been involved with directing as an Assistant Director. Her passion for social awareness makes "SHEVOLUTION" the perfect directorial debut project for Seidy.
