Sam is an award-nominated and occasionally winning emerging filmmaker. They have a MA in Directing from NIDA. They have been nominated for a Robin Anderson Film Award, Best Director at Sanford International Film Festival, Best Music Video and Best Experimental Film at the ATOM Awards; Best Editing of a Music Video at the ASE Awards; Best Director at CinefestOz Film Festival and Best Score at St Kilda Film Festival, and won Best Short Director at the Kansas Arthouse Film Festival.
