BIOGRAPHIE

Maria Lena Koen is a Swiss-Dutch artist and filmmaker based in Lucerne. After studying hotel management she dedicated herself entirely to film. And in 2021, she graduated with a BA in Film at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Growing up, she split her time between the valleys of Centovalli in Ticino and sailing the dutch seas where she became acquainted with a different way of living. This connection to the natural world has helped nurture a sensitivity that she uses to connect with people and better understand their relationship to society. Maria Lena works on different personal and commissioned projects in photography and film.
