Danilo Monte

BIOGRAPHIE

Danilo Monte is a filmmaker with a strong realist and autobiographical vocation. A pupil of Alberto Grifi, in 2014 he shoots “Memories, traveling to Auschwitz”, with which he faces the difficult relationship with his brother. This film wins the Avanti award at the 32nd Turin Film Festival and is distributed in Italian cinemas in October 2015 by Lab80 Film. In 2016, in co-direction with his wife Laura D ’Amore, he tackles the topic of assisted fertilization in" Vita Nova ". This work has its preview at the Festival dei Popoli and wins the SIAE award at the Salina Doc Fest in 2017. In 2019, it tells the first year of his son Alessandro's life in "Nel Mondo", the film is presented in the international Filmmaker competition Festival.
