BIOGRAPHIE

Darshika Karunahara is an interdisciplinary artist working across the fields of virtual reality, sound installations, immersive performances and film. She is the founder and creative leader of the artistic group 'The Oval Room' that explores the boundaries of erotic art and creates participatory performances and sound experiences. Her stories evolves around the narratives of minority cultures and dual identities, projected both narratively and visually. She has a background in business but changed her course to film and art after understanding her need to tell these stories.
