Nick DeSimone is a New York based award winning filmmaker, playwright and actor. Prolific in both stage and film, Nick's body of work covers a wide range of genres. His debut film TWO BOROUGHS, based on his family, put him on the cinematic map, winning awards, and actually facilitating a real-life reconciliation between a father and son who haven't seen each other in 26 years. He is currently in post-production for CUT WISH, about a barber who is forced to think out of the box when he is shut down due to the pandemic. Pre-production for COVID COP, a story featuring an African-American ballet dancer who unexpectedly saves the day when things are about to get very ugly, very quickly. Nick is developing two TV series: BLEEDING INK, set in 1960 New York City, about Printing family; and MACDOUGAL DAZE, about a Greenwich Village sandwich shop where we follow the main characters in both present day and their younger selves in the 1970's. Also in development is a webseries called DING DONG DINA, about a wealthy Park Avenue woman who loses everything in the 2009 crash and is forced to move in with her hipster niece in Williamsburg, joining forces with her niece's filmmaking boyfriend to secretly make unique porn videos unleashing a river of money. Also in the works is a project based on Nick's experience when he went to South Korea in 2019 to perform his play I LOVE YOU. Nick is a dual citizen of The U.S. and Italy.
