Fabian Stumm, born in 1981, is an actor, writer and director. He studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute New York and has since appeared in numerous film, TV and theater productions. His acting credits include Cate Shortland's LORE, which won the German Film Award and the Audience Award at the Locarno Film Festival in 2012, the mystery thriller BELA KISS: PROLOGUE by Lucien Förstner, and the Arte/BBC-series KIDS OF COURAGE, nominated for an Interantional Emmy in 2019. Most recently, he was seen in the drama GREAT FREEDOM by Sebastian Meise, winner of the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival 2021, and the dramatic comedy PRECIOUS IVIE by Sarah Blaßkiewitz, nominated for the First Steps Award 2021. He made his directorial debut in 2020 with the short film BRUXELLES, for which he wrote the screenplay and took on a leading role next to Anneke Kim Sarnau. The film received a nomination for Best Short Film at the new berlin film awards. In 2021, he completed his medium-length film DANIEL. His feature film debut SAN MILO is currently in development.
