BIOGRAPHIE

Ágúst Thor grew up in a small town near Reykjavik. He attended the Icelandic film school at the age of 18. Before he began his filmmaking journey he worked as a chef in a fine dining kitchen. That experience informed his first film, “Chef de Partie”. A Story about a young chef trying to prove himself in a cutthroat kitchen, working under a menacing head chef. Ágúst has worked as a film editor for a major Icelandic production company, editing feature documentaries and commercials. Ágúst’s next directing project is a documentary series about the highly controversial basketball program, “Athena”.
