BIOGRAPHIE

Tommy García is a writer, director, and producer from the proudly ordinary, middle-class town of Fountain Valley, California. His love of filmmaking began with his father's Handycam and some schoolyard buddies in the childhood production of HIT THE ROAD, GHOST! Since graduating from Cal State Long Beach, his work has screened at numerous international events such as LA Shorts Fest (among the world's largest AMPAS and BAFTA-accredited short film festivals) and BFI London LGBTIQ+ Film Festival (the UK's biggest queer film event). His screenplays have placed in contests including Fresh Voices (Finalist), Austin Film Festival (2nd Rounder), Nashville Film Festival (Semifinalist), ISA Pitch Week (Winner), Nicholl (Top 15%), Sundance Screenwriters Lab (2nd Rounder), Coverfly Red List, and more. In addition to unveiling his latest short, LIFE TUNE, he is currently developing two features and an adult animated series.
