Rhea Alsharabaty

BIOGRAPHIE

Rhea Alsharabaty is a trilingual (Arabic, French, and English) Middle Eastern woman and filmmaker. She was born in the U.S. and grew up in Lebanon where she attended Université Saint-Joseph. Lebanon is a country where economic opportunities are rare, so the youth culture values art over consumption. This drove Rhea to music, which led to her participation in The Voice France 2016. She quickly realized she preferred being behind the camera than in front of it. So, Rhea pursued filmmaking where she found a passion for making children’s film for adults. Sound continues to play a big role in her art, which has led her to sound design all of her films. Rhea just received her Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production at Loyola Marymount University where she had a full ride scholarship. She has been writing, directing, editing, sound designing and coloring films for the past seven years.
