Emily Graves is a dual British-Canadian film director and editor. She was selected as one of the eight emerging producers to take part in the Doc Institute’s Breakthrough Development Lab 2022. She is currently developing her first feature documentary about an artist who braves subzero temperatures to create nude self-portraits and to lead an expedition of international artists to the arctic circle to create once-in-a-lifetime artworks that engage with landscape. Emily studied at Central Saint Martins in London, UK, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Gerrit Reitveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is a graduate of the Loyalist College Photojournalism program. She is also an alumni of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection internship program in Venice, Italy. Emily works as a Video Editor at Secret Location and Associate Podcast Producer for the Entertainment One Podcast Network in Toronto, Ontario. She recently completed a short documentary ‘The Goats of Monesiglio’ which has been nominated for an Emerging Filmmaker Award at the Yorkton Film Festival.
