BIOGRAPHIE

My name is Sasha Gavrilenko, and I graduated from the Kott Brothers' directing workshop this year. I was born and grew up in Yakutsk. All my relatives are political dissidents. And when I came to Moscow, I was surprised at how quietly I could walk down the street at night. The goal of each of my works is to cultivate a love of humanity in the viewer. When your neighbors' hands are tied, what will your fellow man do? Will he throw a stone at him? I believe that the viewer won't. The heroes of my films are young people from the capital and the periphery. From the periphery, such that not everyone knows where they are on the map. The heroes of my films want to fall in love, to live a beautiful life. Some of them are not able to do this because they are not emotionally free, some are not free in the truest sense of the word. I have made several short films and music videos. Participant of the festivals "Big Five", "Saint Anna", "Kinosphere", etc.
