Ashley Jade Harris is a director and actor born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. Her love for film started with a camcorder, a couple friends, and a can of soup. Tragically, that one never took off. After sprinting out of highschool, she went on to try out as many things as possible starting with a BA in Geography: Environment and Sustainability. About two weeks into that, she stumbled upon a midnight film set and she immediately prepared to drop out. While she didn't actually do that, she did spend a lot of days and nights stopping by on-campus film sets to study, and maybe do her schoolwork. She also tried more things, including wildfire air traffic radio operation, satellite design, early childhood environmental education, musical theatre, intramural soccer coordination, and academic journal management. But none of that stuck. So after that, she finally decided to come back to her passion for filmmaking and has made her official directorial debut at Langara College with 'The Chase' and 'Trouble a Brewin'. She plans to continue working in the film industry in production, directing, and acting.
