Alci Rengifo is a screenwriter and film critic based in Los Angeles. A proud son of immigrants from Latin America, Alci believes one of the most valuable things a good film or work of art can do is bring down artificial boundaries. His work as a screenwriter has been commissioned for features as well as numerous, award-winning shorts which have played around the world. In addition to writing screenplays, Alci is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic who writes primarily for Entertainmentvoice.com. His work on film, literature and politics has also been published in the Los Angeles Review of Books, Riot Material and the East L.A. monthly, Brooklyn & Boyle. He is also the co-host of the film history and criticism podcast Breaking the 180.
