Frida E Elmström

BIOGRAPHIE

Frida E. Elmström is a Swedish director and animator, with a background within production design, which continually informs her work as a director and adds a fascination for objects and spatial movement to her interest in human behaviour. She has studied documentary film, film production, creative writing and animation alongside work in Sweden and New Zealand since 2011 and is currently finishing her Masters Degree in film at HDK-Valand. She is also active as sculptural artist and have been teaching analogue optical illusions at the Royal Institute of Art. Previous directorial works include the stop motion animated short films "Mardjuret" and "Kapitulation". In 2019 she received the Swedish Film Academy award "Guldbaggen" for best scenography for her work on Roy Andersson's "About Endlessness" (2019).
