Giacomo Tanzarella

BIOGRAPHIE

Giacomo Tanzarella was born in Locarno (Switzerland), to an Italian father and a Spanish mother on October 26, 1988. Since his childhood he has shown a great interest in the visual arts and music. In particular, music became his great passion, so much so as to convince him to dedicate his university studies to it. Throughout his adolescence, Giacomo spends his time in various musical bands as a guitarist and singer. Starting from 2009, he will attend the Faculty of Musicology and Cultural Heritage, at the University of Pavia (Italy), where he will graduate in 2016. Parallel to his studies, he decides to write his own musical compositions. With the pseudonym Jude Rigby, he will begin to frequent the world of recording studios and in 2014 he released his first album: November's Flowers. After a period spent in Madrid (Spain), where he dedicates himself exclusively to the world of music, art and culture, he decides to enroll in the Master in Audio Production at the University of Westminster. The period spent in London represents for Giacomo the great turning point in his life. In fact, in the UK he comes into contact with every aspect of artistic and musical life, including the world of cinema. It was in London that he made his first musical short film as a Master's project: Glass Dreams. In 2019 Giacomo founded Smile Productions, his own production company. In 2020, during the pandemic he made his second short film with Christian Mancini: #everythingwillbefine. In 2021, again in collaboration with Mancini, the shooting of a new short film begins: 21.
