Marina Dumont-Anastassiadou (*1993 in Strasbourg) has studied directing at the Academy for the Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg (Germany). Marina grew up between France, Greece and Turkey. After her Baccalauréat, she studied in Paris in a classe préparatoire littéraire and in 2014 was accepted at the École Normale Supérieure de la rue d'Ulm (Paris). In 2016, she completed her master's degree in cultural history at the Sorbonne. Meanwhile, she has gained several experiences as an assistant director, lighting technician and performer. Her recent works moved between film, video installation, performance and theater. Her first short film Τα Γεμιστά (The Tomatoes of Thessaloniki) premiered in October 2021 at the 36th Independent Film Festival Osnabrück. Internationally it was also a finalist of the Rome Prisma Awards and got a mention at the RED Movie Awards in Reims. Her latest projects were “movements for the everyday life 1-12”, a performance series during a whole year in the Oberwelt Gallery in Stuttgart (Germany) and the short film “The color of Trees”. Marina Dumont-Anastassiadou works as a director, dramaturge and actress.
