BIOGRAPHIE

Canadian born and based in Los Angeles, Kyle Cassie has consistently challenged himself to push the limits to visually reinvent with his evocative creative voice since he jumped behind the camera to Direct. Kyle’s passion for film is rooted in stories that strive to engage and challenge the viewer through social commentary, quests of the heart and seeks to shine a light onto the darker themes inclusive of our flawed human condition. Kyle entered the business as an actor and worked consistently for over two decades in film/tv. Craving to tell his own stories, his journey behind the camera began in tandem a decade ago where he worked as a film editor and colorist on multiple feature films for theatrical and broadcast. His early articulate understanding of pacing, genre and the puppeteering of emotional beats earned him several award nominations for his work as an editor and a win as a producer. Kyle has since spent the last six years Directing and Producing in the visually stimulating world of beauty commercial content for a New York based global beauty brand at the helm of productions in LA, NYC, London and Berlin. Having started as a “one man army”, he always helped steer the visual throughlines as a camera operator and also occasionally cinematographer on projects he’s directed. His passion for post production keeps him saddled as editor and colorist allowing him to tangibly carry his creative vision through to final delivery. His insatiable appetite for storytelling is aimed at completing the summer ’22 production of his short film ‘Anti-Social’ along with two feature films he’s currently writing and developing.
