Giuliano Musacchio

BIOGRAPHIE

[EN] Giuliano Musacchio is a first-time director with a background in producing. Based between Los Angeles and Montreal, Giuliano earned his BFA in Film Production from USC and began his career working with companies like Blumhouse, where he built a strong network of emerging talent. He went on to found Sappy Moose Productions, an independent company focused on telling grounded, character-driven stories. Giuliano recently produced his first indie feature, "Going Places", and has overseen a range of short-format projects, including music videos and short films. Now, as a first-time director, Giuliano is stepping into a part of filmmaking he’s long admired but never explored firsthand. After years of supporting others behind the scenes, he’s pivoting toward a more personal form of storytelling—drawn to intimate, emotionally honest narratives centered around identity, longing, and the quiet moments that define us. His creative perspective is deeply shaped by his upbringing in Montreal and the legacy of his Italian immigrant grandparents, who came to Canada seeking stability and built a foundation that allowed him to dream beyond it. Their sacrifices gave him the freedom to pursue a creative life—and now he’s taking the chance. He hopes to bring Hollywood home—and after directing his first short film in his home province, he sees a world where he can do just that.
