Begê Muniz is an actor, director, and editor born in the Brazilian Amazon. His partnership with director Sérgio Andrade yielded the films Cachoeira (Clermont Ferrand), Jonathas' Forest (Rotterdam International Film Festival), and Time Was Endless (Berlin International Film Festival). He also worked with Felipe Bragança in Claun (Rotterdam International Film Festival) and Paula Gaitán in the feature film Light in the Tropics (Berlin International Film Festival). His debut short film Jamary was selected to 30 national and international film festivals in 2021 and will be produced into a feature length film in 2024. "Tapuia" (2023), his following film, was selected to the Kinoforum - São Paulo International Film Festival, Trieste Ibero-Latino Film Festival, Seattle Latino Film Festival and Philadelphia Latino Film Festival.
