BIOGRAPHIE

Zhang Xu-Zhan (b. 1988) was born in Taipei, Taiwan. Chang graduated from the Graduate Institute of New Media Art, Taipei National University of the Arts in 2016. He specializes in combining strange personal experiences with animation, video, and experimental films, and employs a wide range of artistic forms that demonstrate a unique handmade quality, including hand-drawn animation, paper-doll animation, multi-channel installation, expanded cinema, etc. His work revolves around the theme of "personal observation of society's absurdity and the predicament of the family's craft," transforming all kinds of contemporary life experience into surreal, bizarre images. important group exhibitions, including 《Kuandu Biennale 2016 - Slaying Monsters》(KuanDu Museum of fine arts) 、《7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art - APT7 Cinema》(Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA))、《27th International Short Film Festival of Berlin - interfilm》(Berlin, Germany)
