Director's statement: What if someone you deeply hate because they did something terrible that changed your life for bad, develops Alzheimer's and forgets all the things they had done to you. Can you still blame them for your misery and be mad at them? what if that person is your mother? This is the question that made me make this film. "The two lives of Sepideh" refers to Sepideh's dual roles as a daughter and a mother. When Sepideh's mother mistakes her own granddaughter, Hana, for Sepideh, it triggers a powerful realization for Sepideh about her mother's love. Her mother didn't need to remember, She did.
