It was 1989, Errianne Rojo was born in the Philippines. Her parents did not plan her birth, as her older sister was born just a year earlier. She was supposed to be called Mary Anne, but her parents decided to be more creative, and actually to give her a hard time at school. She is the stereotyped neglected middle child, and that's how she fell in love with reading and writing. Eventually, she fell in love with TV and film, too. Fast forward to today, Erri is an experienced director, writer, and producer. Her flexibility and efficiency have made a lasting impression that she was entrusted to work on media campaigns, films, documentary, and various art forms. She founded Red Rojo Production, a creative team committed to developing effective marketing collaterals and promotional tools, in 2018. Her documentary film "Dibuho (Sketches)" was selected as one of the finalists for Istorya ng Pagasa Film Festival under the Office of the Vice President. A short feature film of hers, "Tatay na si Nanay (My Mother is a Dad),” also won as one of the Top 10 Finalists in SineNanay Film Festival 2016. Before making her own films, she has made documentaries for TV which won and competed in several award-giving bodies both locally and internationally including New-York’s The Telly Awards, Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival, Switzerland’s Dawn Breaker’s International Film Festival, Japan Prize, and Anak TV, to name a few. She started in the industry as a GMA News and Public Affairs’ Program Researcher for the Investigative Documentary “Reporter’s Notebook” and eventually moved up to head the program’s research team. She also did the research work on a documentary entitled “Aquarium Kids” for the award-winning documentary program, Reel Time, which was screened in some parts of Europe and Middle-East Asia.
