Alice Hughes is a Grierson and BIFA nominated producer whose work has been screened nationwide in cinemas and on major VOD platforms such as BFI Player, Amazon, iTunes, Curzon Home Cinema. The success of her feature Half Way led the director (Daisy-May Hudson) to be named BAFTA BreakthroughBrit in 2017, after screening in Picturehouses across the country as well as the Houses of Parliament and City Hall; it was the first film in history to be used as official evidence in an inquiry. Her most recent short, Motherland by Ellen Evans, filmed in Jamaica, was recently shortlisted for a Grierson, and received four-star reviews and favourable mentions in The Guardian, Time Out, The Times and more.
