BIOGRAPHIE

Busra Coduroglu is a Turkish-American writer, director whose work is shaped by her growing fascination with dance, movement, vulnerability and how traumas manifest in individual bodies and across generations. Busra has an MFA in directing from Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and has directed and produced international productions in Turkey, US and India. Her 2015 short film Pride screened at Izmir International Film Festival and was an official selection at Chicago Blow-Up Film Festival. Busra's latest film Asylum premiered at the 2022 Brooklyn Film Festival and has been nominated for best Immigrant Storytelling by ChangeFest Film Festival. Busra teaches directing at ReelWorks Teen Filmmaking and New York Film Academy.
