Michael Bekele

BIOGRAPHIE

Michael Bekele, born in 1988 in Herrenberg, Germany, moved to Sweden in 2012 to take his master's degree in economics at the Stockholm School of Economics. In 2014 he moved to Paris for an exchange semester but also for a residency as a young writer at the bookstore Shakespeare and Company. He then began a position as a research assistant at Handels in Gothenburg, with research in racial and gender discriminatory issues. In 2016 he moved back to Stockholm and founded Flower Studio, where he works as a freelance director and screenwriter. His latest projects include the production of all visual material for Jason "Timbuktu" Diakité's latest album including artworks and music videos and the creation of an audio drama for Storytel.
