BIOGRAPHIE

César Chiquito (1994) es un director, fotógrafo y guionista afrodescendiente de Veracruz, México. Su trabajo se caracteriza por un estilo narrativo principalmente autorreferencial y por evidenciar temáticas de perspectiva de género. Ha dirigido videoclips de la escena indie y series documentales como “Amor y Amistad” para Canal Once. Nominado a “Mejor Video Musical” en el Festival Pantalla de Cristal y beneficiario del FONCA en 2022. Su corto “Machos” formó parte de la selección oficial de Ambulante y MIC Género. Actualmente es director y fundador de la casa productora Little Bros, docente de la Asociación Mexicana de Cineastas Independientes (AMCI) y alumno del “Diplomado en Escritura” de la Sociedad General de Escritores de México (SOGEM). Su más reciente creación documental, “El Último Round”, recibió el estímulo Jóvenes Creadores SACPC 2021 – 2022 (antes FONCA). ---- César Chiquito (1994) Afro-descendant director, photographer and screenwriter from Veracruz. His work is identified by a mainly self-referential narrative style and by highlighting gender perspective topics. César has directed video clips in the indie scene and documentary series as "Amor y Amistad” (Love and Friendship) at Canal Once. Nominated for "Best Music Video" at the 2022 Pantalla de Cristal Festival for the video clip "Sigo Viva" (I’m still alive). His first documentary short film "Machos" was part of the official selection of Ambulante and MIC Género. Currently he directs Little Bros, his own production house; he is also a teacher at the Mexican Association of Independent Filmmakers (AMCI), and is a student of the writing specialization course at the Mexican Writers Association (SOGEM). His most recent documentary creation, “The Last Round”, received the SACPC 2021 – 2022 Young Creators award (formerly FONCA).
