BIOGRAPHIE

Marcela was born and raised in Panama and moved to the US at age 15 to pursue a career in dance which was cut short due to injuries, eventually leading her to an MFA at USC School of Cinematic Arts in LA. Her first short, God is in the Breath, premiered at the Chicago Latino Film Festival. In 2021/22 she produced and script-supervised Stars at Noon by Claire Denis which won the Grand Prix at Cannes 2022.
