BIOGRAPHIE

Pablo Díaz de León Hicks - December 11, 1998 - Aguascalientes, Mexico. Graduated with Academic Excellence in Animation and Digital Art from Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Guadalajara in December 2021. Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Animation and Digital Art at the School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California, USA. Recipient of a CONACYT-SACPC-FINBA scholarship through the AFPE 2022 edition in the Audiovisual Media discipline. Recipient of the Shriram Family Graduate Fellowship awarded by the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2022. Recipient of the 2023 Jenkins Del Toro Scholarship. Recipient of the USC Annenberg Graduate Fellowship. His filmography includes projects such as: - "Paul & Lars" (2019): Producer, Director of Visual-Effects and Compositing, Editor and Animator on the Stop-Motion short film. With 7 Official Selections in festivals around the world and managing to enter the catalog of the Cinépolis Klic platform. -Bark" (2020): Creator of the personal 3D animated short film. With 3 Official Selections in international festivals. - "Together in the Distance" (2020): Director and CG Generalist of the TV spot made for Cartoon Network LA, shared on their networks and aired on their TV channel, first broadcast in 2021. - "A Battle 's Toll" (2021): Creator of the personal 3D animated short film. With 5 Official Selections in international festivals. - "MIGO" (2021): Director, Animation and Visual-Effects Leader and CG Generalist in the action-real short film. Already with 7 selections in festivals around the world: Crystal Palace International Film Festival (2022) and Sunscreen Film Festival (2022). Winner of the latter in the category of best animated short film. -The Blue Stag (2023): Director, Producer, Writer, Editor and Animator of the CG short film. Currently counting with official selections in the International Short Film Festival of Mexico - Shorts Mexico 2023, the Student World Impact Film Festival 2023 and being semifinalist in Final Cut Film Festival 2023. - Certified in Visual Effects Animation by Technicolor Creative Studios Academy in 2022. - Animator/Previs Artist at Proof Inc. working on Disney's TRON: Ares in 2023. - Full-time 3D Animator at Mighty Animation Studios (2021-2022). Working on animated series such as "FriendZSpace" (Season 1) and "100% Wolf" (Season 2) from Flying Bark Productions in Australia.
