Amy Nelson

BIOGRAPHIE

Amy Nelson is a young queer filmmaker/writer living and working off Gadigal Land/Sydney. Her work explores queer love, the female gaze and complex relationships. Her short film 'Windows (of sorts)' recently won the People's Choice Award for Cheap Queens - a student-led film festival at UNSW for LGBTQ+ and female-identifying artists. In 2020, she co-founded 'Red Zebra Productions' with her close friend Theodore Carroll. Their work together champions queer storytelling. Her work aims to prove that you don't need a large budget to make great films, and community is everything when it comes to doing so.
