BIOGRAPHIE

ENG Flavia Calabrese is a young author from Salerno, of Neapolitan adoption. Always a cinema lover, during her studies in England as an Erasmus student, she turned more and more towards film studies, discovering her true passion. After graduating in Foreign Literature and Cultures, she studied Cinema and Photography at the Pigrecoemme school in Naples, the city to which she moved. In 2019, she works as a interpreter at the Giffoni Film festival (a collaboration she will repeat over the years), an environment that increasingly inspires her to pursue directing. In the same year she writes and directs her first short film entitled "Leto", which undergoes a festival route participating in festivals such as the Magna Graecia Film Festival, the Los Angeles Short Film Festival and the Cannes Short Film Festival in Nice. She then began working in the film industry as an assistant director and casting assistant, collaborating on several feature films and TV series (e.g. I fratelli de Filippo by S. Rubini, Californie by A. Cassigoli and C. Kauffmann, the RAI series Sei Donne by V. Marra). "Vietato Fumare" is her second work as author and director. --- ITA Flavia Calabrese è una giovane autrice Salernitana, di adozione partenopea. Da sempre un’amante del cinema, durante i suoi studi in Inghilterra come studentessa Erasmus, si orienta sempre di più verso gli studi cinematografici, scoprendo la sua vera passione. Dopo la laurea in Lettere e Culture Straniere, segue un master in Cinema e Fotografia presso la scuola Pigrecoemme di Napoli, citta’ in cui puoi si trasferisce. Nel 2019 lavora come interprete al Giffoni Film festival (collaborazione che ripetera’ negli anni), un ambiente che sempre più la ispira a perseguire la strada della regia. Nello stesso anni scrive e dirige il suo primo cortometraggio intitolato "Leto", che viaggia in un percorso festivalieri partecipando a festival come il Magna Graecia Film Festival, il Los Angeles Short Film Festival e il Cannes Short Film Festival di Nizza. Successivamente inizia a lavorare nell'industria cinematografica come assistente alla regia e assistente casting, collaborando alla realizzazione di diversi lungometraggi e serie TV (e.g. I fratelli de Filippo di S. Rubini, Californie di A. Cassigoli e C. Kauffmann, la serie rai Sei Donne di V. Marra). "Vietato Fumare" è il suo secondo lavoro come autrice e regista.
