BIOGRAPHIE

Kristian was born 1976 in Denmark to Latvian/German parents.He grew up in Hamburg and initially graduated from the Mozarteum Academy for Music and Drama in Salzburg/Austria.He went on to enjoy a career on stage and Screen for the last 20 years that took him from Germany to England and via the Royal Court Theatre London to roles in International feature films.In 2015 he asked to be let off a contract with the BBC and fled the country after the 'Brexit'-referendum in order to make a documentary feature film about the situation of the refugees in Europe.His documentary debut 'Chronicle Of A Summer In Europe' opened as centerpiece of the documentary section of the LIFF in New Jersey in 2016.He wrote 'Dezember' during the first lockdown and sold his car to finance the film that was eventually shot under a tight covid-19 hygiene protocol in February 2021.
